Grand Lake Area Historical Society was saddened this past summer by the death of Rosemary Kauffman Wilkin, the daughter of Ezra and Belle Kauffman who built the Kauffman House Hotel and is now our museum. Donations may be made to a memorial established in her memory. Rosemary was active as a docent at the museum for many years and contributed many items from the family to the Historical Society.
Donations to the Kauffman House Museum or the Grand Lake Area Historical Society may be given in memory of your friends and family members.
You may specify your memorial for a special project or for general use by the Historical Society.
At present the Pioneer Garden east of the Kauffman House is being funded by a Memorial donation. Jim and Ann Feucht have planted and cared for the garden for five years. The garden contains plants which were introduced into Colorado gardens by the early pioneers. Be sure to visit the garden if you are in Grand Lake.
